Promobot, a manufacturer of autonomous service robots, has created Robo-C.2, a new humanoid robot companion. The main difference with the new model is the use of a special three-tiered silicone. The polymer replicates skin features such as microexpressions, wrinkles, eye incision, lip size and other human characteristics. This allows the widest range of emotions to be displayed.
The Robo-C2 can speak and express emotions, gesture with movable arms, and have a male or female appearance. The robot can work as a consultant, administrator and promoter in any organization. Robo-С draws attention to your business, increases service quality and customer loyalty as well as engagement rates.
It is very important for the service robotics industry to have a realistic appearance. This is why our team places great emphasis on producing leather that resembles human skin as much as possible. Whoever is the first to make a human-indistinguishable robot will capture most of the market, – says Oleg Kivokurtsev, CBDO of Promobot.
Like its predecessor, the updated Robo-C mimics human emotions: it can move its eyes, eyebrows, lips and other ‘muscles’ as well as supporting conversation and answering questions. The technology developed at Promobot, as well as its own patented design, makes it possible to reproduce over 600 variations of human microexpressions, imitating human emotions as realistically as possible.
Dynamic stabilization systems, servos and arm controllers will form the basis for developing the legs of a humanoid robot – the company has already started building them.
